I could have entitled this section “Photos and Days”. No unifying theme, here, no significant grouping, and no progression according to a given order. The term varia is less about variation than diversity.
In this collection of chosen images: a night bedecked with the stars of love-token locks; a child hidden behind the curtain of a fountain; children in a snowy school courtyard; a furtive bicycle, in transparency on Parisian cobblestones; a tennis court behind a double fence.
Elsewhere, a skater unwittingly offers the photographer a perfect slalom; a rider grasping his sword cleaves the clouds; city-dwellers gather at sunset.
