I could have entitled this section “Photos and Days”. No unifying theme, here, no significant grouping, and no progression according to a given order. The term varia is less about variation than diversity.
In this collection of chosen images: a crowd of young people under the power of music; a night bedecked with the stars of love-token locks; children in a snowy school courtyard; a child hidden behind the curtain of a fountain.
Elsewhere, a skater unwittingly offers the photographer a perfect slalom; a rider grasping his sword cleaves the clouds; city-dwellers gather at sunset.
